Amusive Chess

Do you like playing chess? Well, here’s some good news for you: Amusive Chess gives you a unique chance to play your favorite game on your computer, any time you want! Besides, you don’t need to look for an opponent, just download the game and you are ready to play. Amusive Chess is a logical game with 16 special chess pieces on an eight-by-eight square board. Vertical rows are called files and are labeled with letters from A to H while horizontal ones are called ranks and are labeled with numbers from 1 to 8. A half of the squares is black and the other half is white, with two people playing. At the beginning of the game each person has a set of pieces each of which moves differently. Pieces are used to attack and capture the other piece to defeat your opponent. The aim of the game is to checkmate the opponent’s king by placing it under threat of capture (“check”) which cannot be avoided. So as you can see, the rules of the game Amusive Chess are just the same as the ones in the usual chess you have at home. But it is even more interesting with the additional features that you don’t get with the usual game: first of all, you have the possibility to cancel and reconsider your move. Secondly, you can stop the game to pause if there’s something urgent you need to do and then resume playing. Thirdly, calm music and sound effects will help you concentrate better.
